So I won a journalism award…

Hey!

Excited to share with y’all that I won a 2013 Simon Rockower Award for Excellence in Jewish Journalism and Features writing!

The story of choice was the article I wrote back in November for a former employer, JTA, about the Jewish connection to the Grateful Dead.

I attended a Grateful Dead “shabbaton”, or weekend event, and attempted to uncover the existential question that plagues every Jewish deadhead…
